Finding other people who are at a similar creative stage and are looking to level-up… is rare (and so valuable) Cherish those people when you find them

A new AI thing I am experimenting with: • Uploading prior interview transcripts and resources into a new Claude Project • Prompting this new Project to prepare for a new interview

I love this idea by Jenny Rothenberg A Creator Event Amplification partnership where creators partner with a brand at a company-hosted event or at another large event like CES Creators would promote the event in advance, cover it live, and then recap it. Such a win-win!

I am excited to go to a networking type of event tomorrow night After hosting so many events recently, I am excited to be an attendee and meet new people If you are hosting something special, I hope you consider inviting me!

I am trying to approach 1-1 podcast episodes as conversations and almost like coaching sessions vs chats on high-level theories “I am doing X. What do you think about that?” kind of thing Feels more real. If nothing else, I am getting specific thoughts on my situation lol 😂

Note to self: your content should help spark the kind of conversations and messages that you want to have If a lot of people like your post and engage with it, what could happen? Is that that you want? Or something else?

A friend shared why she thinks there is some softness around NYC connection-oriented events these days: • people may be focused on dating • people may be more cost-conscious • people have more social options these days

Yesterday, I did another "social saturday" experiment Where I shared a Calendly link directly and on IG for 1-1 chats This reduces the friction of scheduling 1-1 chats and more. As an added bonus, overlapping people get to meet each other too! I recommend this approach!

Unexpected benefit number 10 of hosting events: People tell you about other places to host at. "Hey, let me know if you want to host this at our space" happens regularly When you host events, good things happen

Some of my favorite and best work-related experiences have been the ones... Where I was really helpful and could contribute a lot. As an enneagram 2, I thrive in these situations. If you are looking for something to work on, maybe focus on where you could be really helpful

"What you really want to do is to be able to function in the world, be with the people that truly matter to you, and also live your life in a way that is driven by agency." - Lawrence Yeo on how you can align with your inner compass. His book, The Inner Compass, is out soon!

An under-appreciated place of connection for me: Traveling before or after an event with people Car rides on trips, train rides, Ubers together…. Man, I always really appreciate these places of connection

New social experiment for July I am trying to have an unplanned phone call, daily, with a different person in July If you are down for this, comment or DM me “phone call” and I will try to make it happen!
