I’ve lately gotten back to the lonely, difficult business of writing. Not script-writing or talking-as-writing, but writing for “the page.” I find it paralyzing. There’s a running parallel that helps. With a h/t to @DeenaKastor Jared Ward -: Write the sentence you’re in.

Been through a lot over the years with ChrisHeuisler (including a down-to-the-wire moonshot m’thon) but I’ve never been happier for him or respected him more than now. Well done, my friend, keep doing the work. And great job Ali Feller on the i’view.

Maybe it’s because I’m rounding the turn on my last quarter of 52, but I’m realizing (and accepting) that the truly important things in life—if you really want to honor them and get them right—are 60-70% harder than you ever thought they’d be.

It's come to my attention that it's #NationalPuppyDay. So say hi to Frankie, who turned 4 months yesterday. It's been a crap year in so many ways—but she has no idea! So lately, usually, neither do I. Nor does anyone who meets her on the street.

Maybe a National Puppy Year, then? To really even things out. Square up the ledger.

It’s Opening Day at Fenway and I’m Covid-free. But I think I’m coming down with Long Red Sox.

Thinking about Michigan Football replays I’ve been watching (yes, still). All those people with diverse political/social/gender/whatever orientations on that field together—w/out a thought of division or otherness. A unique, beautiful, urgently needed side of sports.

Pretty sure D3 Williams College Ephs are the only NCAA program yet to lose a game in FB (finished 9-0) or basketball in 2021-22 academic year.
