We need to: Ban assault weapons — and if we can’t, then we should raise the age to purchase them from 18 to 21. Ban high-capacity magazines. Strengthen background checks. Enact safe storage laws and red flag laws. Repeal gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability.

This is not what Ohioans meant when they called on Mike DeWine to ‘do something’ following the 2019 mass shooting in Dayton. Ohioans were counting on DeWine to grow a spine & stand up to the gun lobby. All he did was cash the gun lobby’s campaign checks & do its bidding instead.

.Mike DeWine can't handle being held accountable. Any time he faces tough questions, he buckles. He's more than willing to sign a bill that makes your family less safe, but lashes out when he's questioned about it. Ohio deserves better.
