Our #COVIDWATCH graph for 16/3 @mikey0callaghan #COVID2019IRELAND #coronavirusireland and our linked time adjusted comparison with Italy. We will get worse (due to more testing) but then can #FlattenTheCurve like South Korea AND SAVE LIVES. Be a hero and play your part.

Current data shows a third of confirmed cases in Ireland are aged between 15-34. This highlights the importance of younger people following social distancing measures, for their own sake and their loved ones. #COVID19 #CoronaVirusUpdate Department of Health

925 healed in Italy in the last 24 hours. I see no one sharing. If they were dead, everyone would share! #CoronaLockdown #coronavirus #CoronaUpdate

Thank you IHCA for allowing trainees' voices to be heard. Many grave issues with draft proposed contract + serious implications for patient care. This cannot succeed without engagement with those expected to sign it.

It is not ok to insist doctors agree to take a contract that does not exist. In solidarity with my future colleagues I have to comment on this. @DonnellyStephen

Regrettably, due to the extremely high number of attendances at our ED’s and UCC, CHI will need to cancel non-urgent elective in-patient and day case procedures from 8-12 Nov. Anyone affected will be contacted directly by the hospital. More info here ⬇️ bit.ly/3qbMIo0

Important: Irish Medical Organisation have arranged a survey for NCHDs to report their experiences of working hours/pay/other contract breaches. Results to be taken to HSE. surveymonkey.com/r/NZCW5SC Everything on the table, including strike. It's crucial as many NCHDs fill this out as possible.

For every 82 patients delayed more than 6-8 hours from presentation to admission or for every 72 patients delayed more than 9-11 hours from presentation to admission there is one death. Aoife unfortunately was the identified victim of HSE Ireland system failures.
