In my opinion surgeon should never wait until pt in OR. Image based staging, well in advance of OR is mandatory (see Otto’s 5th Ed Practice of Clinical Echo chapter 19)#ASEchoJC

Surgeon should document in consultation whether he/she is going to concomitantly repair tricuspid at time of mitral. This decision should be made well in advance of OR. Also important for cardiologist to know surgeons repair rates. #ASEchoJC
