Working on Ogg Vorbis support for Rhubarb Lip Sync. Integrating libogg and libvorbis turns out to be easier than I thought! 😀
Yay! My copy of The Art of Point-and-Click Adventure Games by Bitmap Books is on its way! I'm really looking forward to this book! 🙃
I was shocked when I saw a screenshot of abusive comments on Ron Gilbert - Not here anymore, on Mastodon now's blog this morning. I happen to be whole-heartedly looking forward to Return. It makes me sad that there seems to be a group of people bent on spoiling the fun for players and the dev team alike.
#TriviaThursday In "Where Wolf?" you play as a (duh) werewolf. His name is Daniel. And he's a wolf. His name is a nod to Daniel S Wolf, the author of Rhubarb Lip Sync - even if this game has no voice acting and no lip sync 😁 gugames.itch.io/where-wolf
🗓️ROAD TO TWOAF (13/30) The game will feature lip sync using Rhubarb by Daniel Wolf. It took more than 6 hours to compute lip sync data for all the lines in the game, so please notice it when you play. BTW Rhubarb is SO easy to use, if your game is voiced check it out!
Current status: Lip syncing 1000s of lines of dialog with github.com/DanielSWolf/rh…, written by a backer and Thimbleweed Park dev blog reader.
"Forward to the Past": Rave review of Thimbleweed Park in c't magazin! "Charming presentation", "First-rate English voices", "Fun throughout"
Just finished Thimbleweed Park. Great puzzles! 😊 I can't remember when I last finished an adventure without cheating or using brute force! 🤔
I've been busy playing Thimbleweed Park. Great adventure game, highly recommended! And the first trial by fire for Rhubarb Lip-Sync! 😀
Just found this picture of Zak Phœnix McKracken😊 and me at the Thimbleweed Park fan event in Munich. Had a great time! 😀
German computer magazine c't just named Thimbleweed Park one of the "20 most important games of the year". They especially point out the "funny dialogues", "great retro design", and "first-rate voice actors". I couldn't agree more! 🙂
