An unbelievable turn of events. Canfor has been a part of this community for years. Again, horrible government forestry policy that needs to be fixed. My heart goes out to all of the families. 

NEW - Peace River North MLA Dan Davies has announced he's running for re-election as an independent, after collapse of BC United. Says independents could be power brokers after elxn. The Conservative Party of BC didn't choose Davies to run, sticking with Jordan Kealy instead.

Add Peace River North MLA Dan Davies to the list of former BC United’s now running as independents. He joins Mike Bernier and Tom Shypitka on this front. He never got a call from John Rustad The only BC United MLA in limbo now is Coralee Oakes #bcpoli

This is what scares me. I grew up around drugs and alcohol on reserve where i still live today but nothing like this. I try spread the word on the dangers of drugs but i don’t think my message gets through.

To say this news is disappointing is an understatement. The residents of Lytton have waited anxiously for the results of this investigation. It is just one more let down to a community that feels forgotten by a government that promised to “have their back”. Feeling gutted…..
