This Cedric Coward thing is umm… interesting. The good: He got his first career start. The bad: He played more minutes in each of the 10 previous games. This was his lowest minutes total since Oct. 25th against the Pacers.

We’ll know more on Ja Morant in the coming days. Should get an update on Ty Jerome next week, too. That team on the floor today looked better, but it’s hard to win without points guards — especially when you don’t have a strong group of secondary creators. Need those guys soon.

Cedric Coward and Zach Edey will remain on a minutes restriction today. Grizzlies are still ramping Edey up and want to be careful. Coward told me he feels better today, but the team is taking a cautious approach.
