Day 2 of IFAC's EdExchange: The Future of Technology in Accounting Summit, is about to begin, Yesterday was sessions about the metaverse, AI and other tech. Today is about competencies and skills needed. Looking forward to a session on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CDBCs).

On the IFAC EdExchange, I was looking forward for a very relevant discussion on Central Bank Digital Currencies. I am completely missing the context in which these speakers are presenting it. My collaboration with countries developing CDBCs are NOT consistent with their views.

As colleagues and friends attend #cop27egypt, consider the #xbrl goal of minimizing semantic ambiguity. The hash tag #NetZero is used to refer to the goal of a state of net-zero carbon dioxide emissions, but has everyone forgotten NetZero, the free Internet provider from 1998?

Does anyone else feel guilty just closing ChatGPT down after a session? I always want to say thank you, as it without fail helps me with anything I throw at it (whether completely accurate or not).

Eric E. Cohen (@cybercpa) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I guess not. I was interested in the person who said they were trying to manipulate ChatGPT to do what they wanted; sounds like a non trivial percentage of human interactions. I know a number of people who won't go into a human interaction without knowing the ends they want.

Interested in #ChatGPT and friends, but concerned you may open yourself or your organization to security risks? The Cloud #Security Alliance has published "Security Implications of ChatGPT". cloudsecurityalliance.org/artifacts/secu… It was my great pleasure to collaborate w CloudSecurityAlliance on this.

I receive so many emails from people saying they've installed spyware on my computer and are capturing everything I do on my webcam, I'm hoping I can crowdsource out my work to them. If nothing else, perhaps I can talk about XBRL when visiting those "special sites" they mention.

Eric E. Cohen (@cybercpa) 's Twitter Profile Photo

For every "I have taken over your computer, send me Bitcoin" threat, I receive, I get three "My CPA just died and I need you to prepare my taxes" emails. I wonder if all those CPAs died of embarrassment when someone told them they had taken control of their computer?

I saw a post claiming costs of using OpenAI's API for German prompts/responses are double those of English. Made me think: How do tokens and CPT (cost per token) change with double-byte languages (JP, CN)? Are there arbitrage opportunities to translate prompts and responses?
