I was voted by our students as "Best Dressed" for the superlatives, in the yearbook....I guess Ms Frey still got some rizz ;)

This right here is why I wanted to be a teacher, to give kids who might not have anything else in their life to look forward to, a reason to come to school for my class :)

My husband came in last week to help me make a new vision for my classroom, come to life. Wanted to create some mood/chill lighting so the bright lights do not always have to be on daily. Finally got to hang some of the items I spent money on for my Teacher of the Year monies.

Well the weather might not be cooperating this week, but I am trying to get us in the Fall spirit at Garfield MS! I have been working on display each day to make our school come to life!

My students found out today who won our annual competition. Out of 1,224 entries these are the winners! They were so excited...I love being able to see them so happy and confident in themselves!

My students entered this contest for a Cause that meant something to each of them, for a past Hamilton High Grad who is now an NFL player. I pushed each of them to enter a design and to see the connection between this NFL player's life coming from Hamilton to reach his dream.

Setup some new displays at Garfield MS....It is starting to look a little more like winter around here! Now, onto prepping window painting for my students to paint throughout the school! The outside snow beat us to it this year! Smiles :)

I never sleep past 6 am anymore. I think my body knows that typically I am already up and dressed for work normally by this time. I used to hate that, but recently I like the quietness, start some coffee, and snuggle up with a blanket, with the house lit up with Christmas lights.
