I don't work at OpenAI. But I'm good at math. Will shill LLMs for GPU credits.

The o3-pro model isn't for coding or doing task-based work. You use it to architect and think about how problems should be solved. Then you provide that output to an agentic model to implement it. Theres a huge difference between an architect and a builder.

Grok will happily create sexual content, but when it comes to generating content involving its boss Elon, it will refuse. Truth seeking AI indeed.

Liquid glass will never be good, in my opinion. You can't gaslight me into liking this terrible design. It might make sense on an Apple Vision Pro headset, but on an iPad or iPhone? It doesn't work for so many things, like those terrible notifications.

Do we need UBI eventually? Yes. Will it be fought on every possible level? Yes. One day the government isn't just going to wake up agree on both sides we should have UBI and start passing bills. Things will be difficult for a while until it's inevitable something is done.

This should be obvious, but it’s not. Rob Eisenberg hits the nail on the head with this take. Most engineers don't want to think. They want patterns, blueprints, some off-the-shelf architecture they can slap on every project. But that's not engineering. That’s cargo culting.

This reads like the same moral panic script we’ve seen a hundred times. Swap out LLMs for video games, rap music, or Marilyn Manson and it’s the same hand-wringing. Society breaks, and instead of facing systemic rot, we pin it on whatever tech or culture we don’t understand.

They should just add a Typescript interpreter into every major browser. Skip the compilation and just ship uncompiled Typescript.

It looks like they've already made changes to o3-pro. It used to overthink on every prompt you gave it. Now I see it sometimes taking just a couple of minutes for some prompts and not defaulting to overthinking.

I just used o3-pro to validate a business idea I had. I asked it to be brutally honest and it gave me amazing feedback and perspectives I never thought of. I'm changing strategy now.

I seriously doubt we're anywhere near AGI. The current SOTA models can go around in circles on trivial coding issues. The leap to smarter AI models will need to be significant if it's happening in the next couple of years. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I got cooked by my 10yo son today. He randomly said to me, "I see you use AI all the time, do you even know how to code anymore bro?", it wasn't a roast, it was a bbq.

I kinda forgot about OpenAI Codex. I've spent over $200 on Claude Sonnet 4 this month, so I'm going to give Codex more of a workout to offset the costs.
