PM Narendra Modi interacted with Rameshbhai Patel, VWSC Chairperson, Pipli village, #Gujarat. PM enquired about water supply situation, quality of water supply, its regular surveillance by trained women, community contribution, grievance redressal, use of drip irrigation, etc.

PM Narendra Modi released the e-book of 'two years of #JalJeevanMission'. The e-book is a progress report of #JJM over the last two years , since its announcement in August, 2019. The actual implementation however began in Dec, 2019 with release of operational guidelines.

The mid-year review of implementation of #JJM was held today for #Gujarat. The State was appreciated for their dedicated efforts towards becoming #HarGharJal by 2022. 81.64 lakh (88%) out of total 92.92 lakh rural HHs are getting assured tap water supply. #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav

State was asked to initiate work in all the remaining villages, initiate skilling and capacity building activities, update water quality data, adopt saturation approach in #HarGharJal. State has also implemented sensor-based IoT system for smart monitoring on pilot basis.
