The teams have been busy clearing debris from safety gates with our powered excavator boat. The safety gates close automatically if the canal is breached so are critical to the waterways network. We cleared a number of locations & then divers followed behind to inspect our work!

We’ve been working to repair a damaged section of canal wall near Nutts Bridge in Hinckley. The wall and towpath are now fixed making the area safer for everyone that enjoys a visit to the Ashby Canal.
