I think a sufficiently capable team of less than five people working on a project should not need a Jira. If you need a Jira, Asana or work tracker for a team of this size... you're not really a high performance team.

The money worry treadmill is such a trap. It's... I don't have enough money to live, to... I'm not saving as much as I should, to... I'm not maximizing my money's earning potential, to... I'm not as close to financial freedom as I should be, to... ...there really isn't an end.

It would seem I grew out of aggressively following a few regional professional sports and grew into following every professional sport that has a Netflix docuseries. Storytelling wins out.

I’m gonna need all of you to go see Oppenheimer and report back if you can actually hear any of the dialogue before I allow myself to get excited about it. I’m not falling for this again, Nolan.

Remote organizations would benefit from a recurring internal notification: 👏 Remember, tone is not always easy to discern in text. We don't all write the same. Try not to assign sentiment to your coworkers based on writing style in their messages. 👏

🪦I will die on this hill. If your interface has buttons that people don't know what they do before they press them, it can be improved. The better experience is always understanding what I'm about to click on, and being right about it.

I think I'm generationally doomed such that I'll never understand how America accepts that the AVERAGE price of a new car is now $48k. That tide has done gone out and left me behind.

I love the stories of founders finding their passion. Their mission. Their raison d'etre. The problem they know needs solving. Then selling it 2.5 years later.

I wish all the brands having 'Black Friday' sales right now had the courage to call their sales the 'Somewhere Between Full Price and 5% More than the Actual Black Friday November Sale'.

Writing manual test cases for a smart person to 'test the product' often leaves me bewildered. Is the product simple? Then why do you need this? Is the product complex? Then you know no one doc will cover every permutation.

Someone should make an American Gods style story about the now grizzled, depressing lives of forgotten cartoon IP characters. Woody Woodpecker. Mighty Mouse. Underdog. Yogi. Felix. Marmaduke. Let’s see these guys try to rally in the face of irrelevance.
