Meet John Drislane, an avid GAA supporter and active member of the community in Castlelyons. He's been selected as one of 16 participants to take part in the 40 day health challenge and he's raising vital funds for the men and women of Cork who are experiencing homelessness.

It’s not a record to be proud of. It’s not who we are. 680 lives on hold – who knows for how long. 680 men and women pushed into homelessness, pushed to the margins, pushed to the brink. Yet another record monthly high.

We saw the number of men and women stuck in emergency accommodation here in Cork exceed 600 people for the first time in January. It increased again last month - 633 men and women depending on emergency shelter for a roof over their head. #CorkSimon
