A candle lit today in memory of Galway GAA Official hurler Niall Donohue, who tragically died on this day 11 years ago. Niall's death led to the creation of National & local GAA initiatives that continue to this day, focusing on the 'inner fields' & emotional health of our members lives.

Players have a duty of care to each other when it comes to tackling and a players head. Equally, they have a duty to not be overreacting to physical contact, which is a disservice to the game and making it difficult for referees to know when a player is genuinely injured #gaabeo
