1) Chapter 8 of our book (entitled 'Bringing up the Dead: Burials and Land Deals at High Park') tells the story of the events surrounding the exhumation of 155 women who were disinterred so the nuns could sell the land. The following is a flavour of what the chapter reveals.

1) When I was researching the High Park exhumations I made repeated requests to the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity (OLC) for access to their records. I had discovered that most exhumed women are still unaccounted for & I believe some of the answers lie in OLC's archive.

This is the corner of All Saints Cemetary #CarrsHill where experts believe #Bessboro children that died in St Finbarr’s hospital r buried. No records to corroborate this but I’m pretty sure now that the nuns didn’t claim the bodies back leaving mothers wondering for a life time.
