I went to the Vietnam veterans memorial fence in #Glendale immediately after hearing that the American flag was defaced. Police are investigating this cowardly act of vandalism and we won’t tolerate this insult to those who bravely served our country.

As a longtime civic leader and as a Council Member, I’ve said that wooden fences put up by contractors and left up for years degrade the safety and beauty of our neighborhoods. I have legislation pending that will solve this problem. Watch for an announcement from me tomorrow.

It was an honor to speak at the graduation ceremonies for PS/IS 119 in Glendale. It’s always nice to talk to students as they are closing one chapter in their lives and beginning another. Congratulations to all the grads and parents and many thanks to our educators!

We’ve been in contact with our local precincts and schools. The social media companies must do more to monitor their platforms and report any actual threats to proper authorities. nypost.com/2021/12/16/tik…

The need for blood is always great in the winter but it's more dire because of the pandemic. Please consider giving blood at one of these drives, if you're eligible.
