I have this memory of my dad telling me “don’t let your wiener touch the urinal” when I was prob like 3-4 years old, and I literally think about it every time I use a public bathroom.

Nobody wants to talk about how the meth(amphetamine) started getting really weird and kind of spooky around 2017, but I feel like it probably explains a lot.

I guess I kind of assumed that Jews (and especially Zionist Jews) didn’t really ‘do’ camps. Because of the whole, you know.

I think deep down people are afraid of coming to terms with the endless void and coming night that lies at the center of everything. And that’s probably why they act like this.

I feel like this always happens. Maybe not the first guy, but a classic story all the same. Maybe it’s just like too poetic/ironic for the authorities to pass up the chance. Probably serves you right too anyway. Hoisted by your own petard, as it were.

In anyone or anything manages to write a history of our civilization, I think they will be astonished by both the prescience and clarity of foresight that we had about our inevitable enslavement to and ruins by our technology, as well as our refusal to do anything about it.

They’re 8. You don’t need to appeal to authority. YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY. What the hell is wrong with you, getting outwitted by an 8 year old with an iPad?

A lot of people seem to think that the AI bubble popping will mean the end of AI. Like they’ll just be like, “ah damn that didn’t work, let’s start over.” Which is not how collapsing bubbles work (see dot com, 2008 credit). There will just be consolidation, and new monopolies.

I feel like not that long ago you could be ageist by talking about people “past retirement age,” and how “they need to go home and take a nap!” Now the bar has to be “over 90 years old” though because anything lower than that would describe every single one of his bosses.

It’s crazy to me when somebody on the one hand thinks that the food supply is deliberately being filled with poisons and engineered to make us sick, but also that you can circumvent all that just by buying “organic” food. As if that means anything.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t think Cracker Barrel was a real restaurant. I thought it was like Chuck E Cheese but all the games were made of wood.

I feel like if an infinite number of computing machines, connected to data centers consuming tens of millions of gallons of water, and thousands of gigawatts of electricity cannot reproduce the complexity of a single human mind, then nothing can and you should probably stop that.
