I’ve been back in Indiana this month taking care of my dad, helping him get strong enough for his bone marrow transplant Also visiting with my grandparents in a nursing home, both have dementia I can’t imagine my life without Jesus Without His strength, when I have none left

I’ve found that life experience breeds understanding for others Don’t we all just want a place to feel safe & heard?

A lesson I learned the hard way There’s a reason as Christians we are called not to live together before marriage In my case, it developed a lot of habits & mindsets that took years of time and effort to break in marriage

I was placed on antidepressants from ages 11 to 21 As a child, anytime I expressed the extreme emotion I was feeling, the dosage was increased Looking back, this taught me that hard emotions were not okay to feel I learned not to manage hard emotions, but to numb them
