To everyone who advocated for #earlychildhood investments over the last year+ - the #childcare providers, early educators, state leaders, organizers, advocates - THANK YOU. While we didn't get this across the finish line this time, your advocacy mattered.

Respectfully, President Donald J. Trump you have left child care teachers out again. Many public school teachers need child care to go to work. And a reminder, most child care teachers do not have health care or retirement benefits. Please figure out how to give child care teachers a raise too.

This is great, but who will take care of the children while the cranes are operating and factories open? Please, please, please pay attention to child care. #childcare

The U.S. spends a mere 0.3% of its GDP on early education & child care—while U.S. parents spend roughly 19% of their wages on care costs. For comparison: Iceland allocates ~1.8% of its GDP for child care—so parents spend just 5% of their earnings. cnbc.com/2023/03/05/bes…

Advocates from across the spectrum on the frontlines of providing care and support services have spoken loud and clear: Rep. Edwards’ floor amendment to HB49 must be supported. It’s what’s right for our kids and families to build a safer, healthier community. Read their letter:
