The County Govt together with KFS will launch a tree planting and greening exercise for the County of Nairobi. We have began the planning and mapping of this together with Chief Conservator of Forests at the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) Julius Kamau and his team. This program..

This program will involve our young people across the county who will plant and maintain the trees to maturity. We are calling on the public, the Private Sector and institutions to come on board as we restore the glory of the green City under the Sun.

The Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) Julius Kamau called on the Governor of Nairobi County H.E Johnson Sakaja at Nairobi's City Hall for a meeting that focused on deepening collaboration between the Service & the County in tree growing to revamp green spaces, riparian, roadside among other spaces.

KFS and the county will leverage the goodwill of all nairobians to green the capital while also creating green jobs for the youth.
