Tonight, 160 people are testifying at the Appropriations Committee. We're hosting a press conference with legislative supporters calling to increase funding for nonprofits.

We wouldn't ask for one cent if nonprofit could fully staff their programs with the funding they have. But the truth is that nonprofits do not have the resources to meet the needs in Connecticut with the funding they have now.

"We have a staffing crisis right now. That's why we're here and that's why we're asking for funding. Ten programs at Oak Hill are currently closed." - Barry Simon from Oak Hill.

Oak Hill Luke Mastrangeli is a talent developer at Oak Hill. "At new employee orientation after new employee orientation, I hear our employees tell me they have to work 70-80 hours per week to make ends meet."
