“Only God can do it! Only He can save! Only He can deliver! Only He can set free!” This must’ve been last week’s service at the Reformed Presbyterian Covenant Church here in town.😂

CN study committee, or a PCA “good buddy” committee? I think we all know how this is gonna turn out. PSA: “The PCA has concluded that CN is not only bad for this nation, but it’s also bad for the Church, and it’s also bad fo yo health. Is there a diet version of CN somewhere?”

God can eternally decree evil/deception without becoming an evil deceiver, just like He can eternally decree the existence of rocks without becoming a rock. This is one of the main points behind creation out of nothing, and why the Church has universally confessed it.

This PCA study committee is going to be more like a PCA "buddy committee" than anything else. The PCA has been known to harbor a "good ol' boy" mentality when it comes to investigating these kinds of issues.

Yes, but not in the identical sense that these tongues were given in the apostolic period. The Spirit gives the Church "analogical tongues," which the Church has been using for nearly 2,000 years now to get the gospel out to new tribes and nations, like the English tongue.

But notice, at least in this short clip of the interview with JR, that the term “Calvinism” was never used. Belief in Calvinism, just like belief in Arminianism, doesn’t save anyone. Only the Holy Spirit can save sinners, through the power of the gospel.

It's just that now in the new covenant, we the people of God are the altars of God. We are now to offer our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. So every Lord's Day, when the "Call to Worship" takes place at the beginning of the service, this is an altar call.

Calvinists: There is nothing you can MERIT/EARN to be saved. But you must believe to be saved. Arminians: Your faith is sufficient merit for your salvation.

But the common response to this by those of us who hold to “predominant psalmody,” rather than “exclusive psalmody,” is that Paul is also referring to all those other inspired songs scattered throughout the Bible, and even to the singing of ALL of Scripture itself.

• The end of the entire old covenant Adamic age. Or at least the LEGAL end of this age. Or at least the TRANSFORMATION of that old Adamic age into the new Adamic age, with residual fallout from that old age still existing. • "End" does not mean annihilation, but transformation.

Dispies are the worst "Judaizers" when it comes to their future so-called millennial age, wherein they believe that the Christ will reestablish some (or all) of the old covenant "stoicheia" (circumcision included!). Dispies Judaize the millennial kingdom/age.

It is if it's grounded in the OG creation mandate given by God to take dominion over the earth. God gave this mandate to BOTH the man and the woman equally. So it would seem to follow that the right to vote in the world, as an act of dominion, is for both male and female alike.

The only thing we sinful creatures get to bring to the “table of our salvation” is our sinful pride. This is what God must save us FROM, not TO. If a Calvinist truly believes that he’s been saved TO sinful pride, then he’s a lying Calvinist. A hypocritical Calvinist.

Yes. Beauty is first and foremost in the eyes of God the beholder. If He judges something to be beautiful, then it is objectively beautiful. Creatures can only imitate God in judging things to be beautiful or ugly, and our judgments are fallible and finite.

The Federal Vision is not a different gospel. It’s a much more thoroughly covenantal version of the same gospel of free sovereign grace than what most hyper-decretal Calvinists are used to hearing, but it’s the same basic gospel message.

Chris Comis (@christianjcomis) 's Twitter Profile Photo

But even Arminians will pray like Calvinists for God to save sinners. They’re just better at praying than they are at theologizing! And the same gospel that saves the elect will also bring greater damnation on all the reprobate who refuse to repent. It’s a double-edged sword.

Chris Comis (@christianjcomis) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I don’t think heaven is where we will all just automatically agree on every theological dispute we’ve had here on earth, Calvinism included. The difference will be that there won’t be any sin in our disagreements. No slander. No backbiting. Just good, honest disagreements.

Christian Internationalism is the historic Christian belief, with the Church being the first “holy nation,” and then Christian Nationalism naturally flows out of this.
