So sorry to hear that David Hill has died. Few people gave as much as he did to the Labour Party over many decades. He was as solid and reliable as they come and his wisdom and expertise were of immense value to me, both when I was a journalist. and when we were close colleagues

Not to be forgotten in addition to all his other qualities- primarily integrity, trust and honesty- he was a great blues/rock singer.
