Reading accounts of how Hitler and his henchmen physically bullied the Austrian, Czech and Polish chancellors and prime ministers, I always found it a bit difficult to picture because I assumed even the Nazis respected the diplomatic niceties. But now I can see it perfectly.

I believe no TWO Act is needed except were the road is a exclusively a 'guided' PT. It is not even needed for the HUGE P&R at 4-wentways. Weren't GCP offered some 'advance money by previous Government?

The worlds oldest mountain weather monitoring station is in Germany at Hohenpeissenberg. It's records go back to the mid 1700s and an almost continuous record since the late 1700s. p.s. Yes, human induced climate change is real.

The urban car's as well-suited to the modern metropolis as a hippopotamus to a studio flat. Streets sag under its weight, our air thickens with its exhalations, and all the while, the creature demands more; more space to move, more space to rest. The sheer spatial absurdity of it

This is 'high hanging fruit'! Structural & foundation costs will be huge to cope with wind or snow loading. Supports mean lots more dead space. Fit solar panels to agricultural & industrial buildings. If short car trips reduced we could build affordable dwellings on the land.

£300 million allocated for active travel schemes across all of England. £355 for one junction in Hull, which lacks cycling infrastructure Remind me again why, in 2025, the UK will have the highest obesity rate in Europe?

airqualitynews.com/cars-freight-t… This & originating IPPR article is well worth a read "Cars place a financial burden on many low-income households. Those with a car on the lowest incomes spend on average £76 a week, over £3,950 a year, on it." This is 25% of their income.

The phenomenon of “bikelash” has become one of the biggest barriers to implementing interventions that make our streets more livable, accessible and sustainable. So how do we best manage it as advocates for change? Here are 8 strategies we recently presented at Velo-city Conference.🧵
