Congrats to Inv Scott Chambers! The VA Assoc. of Chiefs of Police honored Inv Chambers with a Valor Award last night. The Valor Award is the VACP’s highest honor. It was given to 33 officers who performed acts of extraordinary heroism in the line of duty at great personal risk.

Chesapeake's newest deputies are sworn in and officially on duty! Chesapeake's City Clerk issued the oath of office this morning to CSO mascots Deputy Rocky and Deputy Roxie. Deputy Rocky and Deputy Roxie will patrol community events to protect, serve, and engage with children.

Undersheriff David Rosado and members of the CSO spent the morning at E.W. Chittum Elementary School for Career Day. School Resource Deputy Burch introduced the children to Deputy Roxie, as Deputy Johnson spoke to the kids about the responsibilities of a Deputy and gun safety.

We have received calls about a social media post claiming to show an escaped inmate in Chesapeake. We want to reassure the public that all inmates in the custody of the CSO are fully accounted for. For updates on emergencies in the CCC or courthouses, follow our social media.
