1/2 My main message the European Parliament hunting/biodiversity event: Namibia has a robust governance framework that seeks to protect wildlife and promote rural development. As a result of our conservation success, we host some of the greatest wildlife populations in the world.

@ulrik_gh It's more than two things. A third is that local people will attempt to make up for lost income by increasing the rate of hunting (selling more hunts at lower rates to locals) and/or exploiting wildlife in other ways (e.g., selling their body parts such as tusks, horns, or bones)
