The notification to conduct Census has been published in the Official Gazette today. The Census will include Caste enumeration as well. However, some misleading information is being spread that there is no mention of caste census in the notification. It has already been mentioned

As a part of #Census2027 preparations, two days conference of Directors of Census Operations of States and UTs began in Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi today. In the inaugural session, Union Home Secretary Shri Govind Mohan and RG & CCI Shri Mritunjay Kumar Narayan addressed the gathering.

The 2-day conference of Directors of Census Operations concluded on 4th July'25 with focused discussions on preparations, road ahead & team work for #Census2027. RG&CCI urged all to take forward the insights & take steps for comprehensive population Census with caste enumeration.
