Check out this amazing work from my labmate Matt Kim! He developed a protein degradation system that works in primary T cells to control the activity of chimeric antigen receptors and endogenous proteins! Hana El-Samad Andrew Ng Cell Design Institute @UCSF biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

🚨New Preprint🚨 We developed targeted protein degraders to degrade CARs and endogenous signaling molecules in T cells. The genetically encodable nature of these bioPROTACs enabled us to build a circuit to degrade ZAP70 and inhibit signaling in an antigen-dependent manner.

Exciting new work from Matthew Kim Cell Design Institute @UCSF: Genetically encoded 'bioPROTACs' for antigen-inducible, targeted degradation of key signalling molecules in CAR-T cells. Delighted to be a part of this team! Andrew Ng Hana El-Samad biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

So excited to share Sarah Soliman’s new inducible systems for controlling mESC behavior! Sarah built these systems as a stepping stone to studies of tissue organization, but as our neighboring labs began to make use of these tools we knew it was time to share them with the world!
