Soldier On has appointed Prudence Slaughter as its interim CEO. Ms Slaughter steps into the role following her successful leadership as Partnerships and Grants Director. The Board will continue the recruitment process for a permanent appointment.

On International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination we remember Gough Whitlam’s resolve to address inequality and discrimination in the law, particularly via the Racial Discrimination Act, which he introduced in 1975.

“Behind that legislation lies a deep concern for human rights, for equality of opportunity, for the democratic rights of all Australians – wherever they were born, wherever they may live,” Whitlam said in 1975.
