Our senior rugby team faced off against Colaiste Muire Crosshaven today, in the first ever ‘Carrig Cup’ in memory of our late caretaker, Nigel Herlihy. The cup, sponsored by our staff member @TeachWithTadgh , marks the start of a new rugby competition between local schools.

In a nail biting game which saw both sides have dominant spells. Crosshaven led at half time 5-22, but CCS mounted a huge comeback in the second half to win 24-22. We look forward to seeing this rivalry develop for years to come.”

Congratulations to Conor Horgan (TY) on qualifying for the Irish Finals of Microsoft Office Specialist - MOS. Conor had one of the the tops scores nationally & had the chance to qualify for the MOS 4 Nation finals & World finals in the US. Congrats on a huge achievement.

Brilliant performances by everyone on South Munsters Day 2 and best of luck to all who have qualified for the Munsters next Saturday at the Munster Technological University Track Athletics Ireland

On Thursday evening we celebrated our Transition Year graduation. The displays and performances were wonderful. A huge thank you to Ms. O' Donovan (coordinator) and Ms. McGrath and Mr. McCarthy (Year Heads) for such a positive programme.

Wednesday saw our 6th Years graduate. It was a lovely day from start to finish, complete with an interfaith service in the afternoon. There was a sense of joy mixed with a little sadness as we celebrated six years together. Everyone in CCS wishes the best for these young people.

Congrats to all our student athletes who had a shone at the Munsters on Saturday. Medal winners were Giselle Ahern, new Munster Intermediate Girls 75M Hurdles Champ, Shane Doyle Walk, Rhys O' Brien Triple Jump, Rian Lennon 400M Hurdles and the 4×400M Senior Boys Relay team   🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It's all go back at the bird box with the nestlings needing constant feeding!

A final congrats to our sports people this year: our U16 hurlers, Athletes, 1st Year girls basketball & our under 16 footballers. Finally, congrats to Becca Sexton '24 playing college basketball - scholarship to the US . She captained the Irish team as a student in CCS.
