Today, Scripps’ R/V Roger Revelle returned to San Diego looking shiny and new! The research vessel has been away for the past year undergoing a mid-life refit. This work brings the ship up-to-date with advances in marine engineering, extending its service life by 15-20 years.⚓️

Laura Lilly studied biological #oceanography at Scripps, focusing her PhD research on El Niño & its effects on the zooplankton community in the Southern California Current System. 🌊 Next, she'll work as a postdoc with NOAA Fisheries NWFSC & Oregon State University, followed by The Fulbright Program.
