As maternal deaths in our nation continue to rise and thousands more face life-threatening complications, we have a moral responsibility to provide Moms the care they and their babies need most. I’m proud to fight for the CARE For Moms Act to protect moms’ futures in America.

Every single missing child deserves attention and resources, but the disproportionate number of missing Black women and girls is concerning. We must prioritize finding them and bringing them home safely.

We cannot keep turning a blind eye to the disproportionate rates at which Black women and girls go missing or the lack of resources dedicated to finding them. This epidemic is not just a local issue but a global concern that deserves proper attention and immediate action.

This proves why it is crucial for society to actively challenge and dismantle harmful beauty standards. By promoting inclusivity and acceptance of all hair types, we create an environment where Black girls feel empowered to embrace their natural hair without judgment.
