#OurLadyofMountCarmel feast today! Blessings on all. If you would like to know what #Carmelites are all about, you will find it here: "They all joined together in constant prayer, with Mary the mother of Jesus."

Queen and beauty of #MountCarmel, Virgin of the solitude, In the wilderness of Carmel Lies the world’s eternal good. Draw us into deep seclusion And make God alone our goal, In the mystical Mount Carmel That lies hidden in the soul.

On this day the daughters of St. Teresa throughout the world chant the Te Deum, praising and thanking God that He gave this gift to the Church. We rejoice to be a small part of this praying heart of the Church. Deo Gratias!

Want to know what true love means? It is so simple and so profound. "Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ." [Gal.6:2] And sometimes a picture says it best. #WillofGod #Love #wisdom

#StFrancis, lover of all God's beautiful #creation, they tell us that billions of birds have disappeared from the earth. Not even a little sparrow fell and our Heavenly Father knew. Pray for us, Little Poor Man. What would this world be without the song of birds praising God?

If you want the Virgin will come walking down the road pregnant with the holy and say, “I need shelter for the night, please take me inside your heart, my time is so close.” Then, under the roof of your soul, you will witness the divine, the Christ taking birth forever,

If
you
want
the Virgin will come walking down the road
pregnant with the holy and say,
“I need shelter for the night, please take me inside your heart,
my time is so close.”
Then, under the roof of your soul, you will witness the divine, the Christ
taking birth
forever,

Mary has given birth to a King whose name is everlasting; hers the joy of motherhood, hers the virgin’s glory. Never was the like seen before, never shall it be seen again, alleluia.

Brothers and sisters, Christendom no longer exists! We are no longer living in a Christian world, because faith – in a large part of the West – is no longer an evident presupposition of social life; indeed, faith is often rejected, derided, marginalized and ridiculed. #PpFrancis

O little lark, you need not fly To seek your Master in the sky, He's near our native sod; Why should you sing aloft, apart? Sing to the heaven in my heart. In me, in me, in me is God! ~Anna Bunson deBary #God #Seeking

Here are words from St. Teresa for our dark times. Seems we all are being called to spend #Lent in the desert of our days. Come apart for awhile and set up a little oratory in our homes, in our hearts. Fear not! Have faith. "Who has God lacks nothing." #Pray for each other.

“This illness is not to end in death, but is for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” [Jn. 11: 4] #Corvid19 is calling a world that has left God to return to Him Who is Love. We must do #penance. O God, be merciful to me a sinner! #Mercy

Something strange is happening--there is a great silence on earth today, a great silence and stillness. Strange indeed, like no other #HolySaturday ever seen. The whole earth watches and waits. #Death turns to #Life. He will arise.

Our days of preparation for the feast of #OurLadyofMtCarmel are taking place in our empty chapel this year. Thus, during the novena, her statue is in the sanctuary, facing the nuns' oratory. All the many intentions of the Church and the world are laid at her feet. Pray for us!

Once, it is said, #StTeresa was surprised to meet a little child in the monastery halls. He asked her who she was and she replied, "I am Teresa of Jesus." "And who are you?" she asked. His answer speaks to each of us in our hearts. "I am Jesus of Teresa."

Ash Wednesday and we begin our trek into the desert with the Lord. Like him we fast, not just from food but from all that feeds our greed, our lack of love. Hungry? "If only you knew the gift of God, you would ask and He would give you bread from heaven, living water."

#Beauty is truth. #Truth is all that is real. When we lose our sense of truth we lose our sense of God, for we only find God in the Real. Pray with us that our following of Christ Who is Truth will set us free in the beauty of God, ever adoring the Father in spirit and truth.
