I am elated to share that this morning the Wake County CEC members of SD 17 voted for me to fill Sam Searcy’s vacant seat. After I am appointed by Governor Josh Stein, I will be sworn in this week. I can’t wait to get to work serving the constituents of SD 17 & our great state.

Today I had the honor of being sworn in for my first term as a state Senator representing Southern Wake County. I look forward to serving alongside my Senate colleagues to address the issues impacting NCians as we safely navigate out of this pandemic.
