Dearest Mother — Rarely does fate require we engage with an enemy in their own fortification thrice in one war, but such is our circumstance. We return, tonight, to battle where Lt. Merrill last planted the Aggie banner. — Craig

Dearest Mother — The heroics of our stalwart soldier, Lt. Marco Anthony, must also be mentioned. Those foolish enough to overlook the man thus far can do so no more. — Craig

Dearest Mother — We have achieved victory over the army of Fort Collins. We will rest briefly, as dawn will bring the culminating battle for the Western Mountains. It is the Aztecs, once again, standing between my battalion and glory for all of Aggie Nation. — Craig

Dearest Mother — Twenty-four hours remain until all eyes turn to our battalion in this great war of madness. Thousands will witness my soldiers pen another chapter in the storied history of our Aggie people. This is what we have long anticipated—the reason we fight. — Craig

Dearest Mother — I have time for one quick letter, then I must be off. The hour of battle is come. The enemy has taken their positions. We have taken ours. I know not what surprises the Red Raiders have in store, but knowing my men, I have much hope for victory. — Craig
