Female Calliope hummingbird packing on the micrograms. It's the smallest long-distance migrant in the world. They travel ≈ 5,000 miles each year in a big oval from their breeding to wintering grounds, amazing considering they weigh about the same as a ping pong ball. x2 speed

Busy on the Raccoonobahn overnight. Cats, raccoons, kits and Super Swiffer, the skunk, who sees the OG black cat at 22:36. A longer video as it's actual speed.

I wonder what's happening off to the left? All the Wyoming ground squirrels were looking in the same direction, this is straight out of camera. 😁

Sound down, you'll think it's going to be quiet....until the molting blue jay shows up...HE IS LOUD! Earbuds out, seriously, this blue jay is ridiculously loud. Ever Present (🐿️) drinking before birdbath went to be sanitized, blue jay arrives but doesn't stay. E.P (🐿️) returns

Ferruginous Hawk on a utility pole. I took photos, it didn't care, we drove by slowly, it didn't care. 😁 What a regal looking hawk.

The first rule of Wyoming ground squirrel Fight Club is: you do not talk about Wyoming ground squirrel Fight Club. Both squirrels were fine. 👍

👀Raccoonosaurus👀 Not sure if this is the original Raccoonosaurus (probably unlikely) but this raccoon is huge. Maybe has DNA from the OG Raccoonosaurus.

Juvenile horned lark. They're very well camouflaged when they're motionless. Seen from above they must blend into the prairie to the point they seem to become invisible.

Does anyone know of a text book type/bible like book for black bear (or all north American bears?) ecology, behavior, and management? I have coyote and wolf books like that but trying to find a bb one! #academia #blackbear #ecology #bearecology

Pumpkin timelapse. Growing nicely. I've stopped moving the camera back now - at least for time being, as the dogs walk in front of the camera, the further it gets moved back. 🐶🐶

Well, this was interesting 🤔 Coyote, I think, and mule deer on the Raccoonobahn - they weren’t being chased by anything else. Maybe the deer was chasing the coyote. Normal speed then slow motion. Had thought cat when watched on phone screen - definitely not a cat.
