right. but he’s glad to hear that he has not offended her. otherwise, he would invite her for dinner to compromise.

does that mean she wants to go to a dinner with him? a man who she doesn’t find cute?

that’s just cold . . . but if she has the time, he could arrange that. will he pick her up, say at 7 in the evening?

a little bit but that’s not going to ruin his morning. great! it is settled then. at exactly seven in the evening, his car will be waiting in front of her house or apartment. she should give her address and her number to him.

of course he does, he’s a perfectionist after all. taking her card where she just wrote her number and address, alex placed it inside his wallet for safe keeping. “thank you, it is a pleasure doing business with you.” he teased.

his lips curled into a small smile when he saw her rolling her eyes. “maybe we just started on a wrong foot here and maybe later, at dinner, we could know more about each other.”

well, she should. she looks prettier that way. “yeah, i saw your name before putting the card inside my wallet. it’s nice to meet you, miss matthews.” he said softly as he extended his hand towards her. “you can call me alex.” he continued as he smiled.

he has still a lot of those under his sleeves. “perhaps but that’s not important.” after she returned the handshake, alex placed his hands inside the side pockets of his pantsuit. “well, yeah . . . my name’s quite long so alex would do.”

he laughed softly at her teasing before giving her a nod. “i’ll try to keep that in mind, but i uh . . .” the male raised his wristwatch so he could look at the time. “i gotta go, work is waiting for me. see you this evening?”

at exactly 7 pm, alex had his driver park the car in front of the apartment of Empress Honerva, then he sent her a message. text to: ms. matthews —— : ms. matthews, i believe it is time for our dinner. you would find the car waiting for you in front of your apartment.

he’s hungry. somebody please give him food.
