This October, the City of Lawrence KS and the DCHS Oak Hill Cemetery Program Committee have been working with Pacific Coast Conservation to develop a treatment plan for monuments at Oak Hill Cemetery. Over 30 monuments have been cleaned in phase one!

Come learn about the Oak Hill Cemetery Potter’s Field and the Remembrance Project, ask questions, and take part in “history harvests” to help memorialize all those buried there! For more information visit watkinsmuseum.org/event/potters-…

Directors for the Potter’s Field Community Remembrance Project will be giving a presentation followed by a “History Harvest” at 1 PM Saturday, Nov. 19, at Watkins Museum of History. The project was funded in part by a Douglas County Natural & Cultural Heritage Conservation grant.
