Vulkan documentation just got easier! The Vulkan Working Group has gathered all the key documents including the specifications, guides, tutorials and samples into a single website to allow developers to navigate quickly to the information they need. khr.io/11n

Chrome 121 supports WebGPU on Android (mostly thanks to @Tojiro ) and a bunch of other niceties like being able to omit the entryPoint name when creating pipelines (from François). Next release seems fairly quiet but Chrome 123 looks like it will have a lot more new features!

I think they are onto something big. Since I've left Google I really miss Gerrit for managing stacks of commits and revising them and creating a clean but detailed history. But it's too involved for small projects. Graphite integrates neatly with GitHub and VSCode!

#NVIDIA Warp v0.13.0 is now available from pypi.org/project/warp-l… and github.com/NVIDIA/warp. This release comes with a new license allowing commercial use! 💯

Yes. Developers on PC GPUs are the key enablers to DC GPU success. So all the dev tools need to work flawlessly on PC GPUs. Currently this is largely true with Geforce. Radeons definitely got better these past 6 months and they are showing increased commitment to PC developer .

Really looking forward to the first in-person GTC in 5 years! I'll be there all week and presenting on the latest Warp developments: nvidia.com/gtc/session-ca…

I just witnessed my 5-year old complete the first shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom by himself. I'm baffled, proud, and a little scared.

WebGPU in Chrome 124 gets two very requested features: read-write storage textures for more compute flexibility (previously write-only was the only mode allowed), and support for using WebGPU from additional types of JS worker!

Many of the demos showcased during GTC's keynote were made using Warp, combining the ease of Python with the performance of CUDA to revolutionize simulation: youtube.com/watch?v=Y2F8yi…. Wanna learn more? Start with our Warp specific talk at GTC: nvidia.com/en-us/on-deman….

Sunday rant. For software engineering, my sense is that the phrase “premature optimization is the root of all evil” has massively backfired. Its from a book on data structures and mainly tried to dissuade people from prematurely write things in assembler. But the point was to

For the last couple months, our team has been working hard on a few paradigm-changing features for HTML Canvas. One of them is the ability to have HTML elements in a canvas. Here's a ThreeJS demo with a live HTML texture.

Excited to present Warp at #SciPy2024 tomorrow! Learn more about our open-source library that enables high-performance computing with the ease of Python. Warp kernels are differentiable and can be integrated into ML libraries, such as PyTorch and JAX! cfp.scipy.org/2024/talk/M779…

Watch carbon dioxide move through Earth’s atmosphere. With this high resolution model, scientists can see CO2 rising from sources like power plants, fires, and cities and watch how that carbon dioxide spreads via wind patterns and atmospheric circulation. go.nasa.gov/46kD7OD
