Today we welcomed members of the Cal State Northridge Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity for a step performance! Alpha Phi Alpha was the 1st intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American Men. Thank you Mr. White, a member, for inviting this group!

Fairfax High School music program visited Burroughs today to play for our students and listen to our band and orchestra!

Mr. Rodas’ & Ms. Alderete’s classes took a field trip to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures today!

Mrs. Senigram’s 8th graders went to the Museum of Tolerance today to tour the Anne Frank exhibit! They learned about segregation in California, & made the connection between the segregation of the Jews during the Holocaust to what happened to Mexican Americans in California.

Yesterday our counseling department celebrated our students who are starting the semester off strong with their 5 week progress reports!

Today were our student vs. staff Negro League Black History Month Whiffle Ball games at lunch! The staff won vs. the 7th grade students, and the students won vs. the 6th and 8th grade staff!

Today was the 826LA Choose Your Own Adventure Book Writing & Publishing field trip for Ms. Tongol’s 6th grade students!

Our BSAP team held a career fair to cap off Black History Month, thank you to all the presenters who made this event possible!
