St. Joachim DPCDSB students were outside today cleaning up our neighbourhood. We could not believe the amount of litter we found outside 4 bags collected by these two amazing classes. Keep up the great work Mme Molinaro, Mme DiTosto and Ms Pereira’s classes! EcoSchools Canada

Thank you so much to the many families that supported our textile drive for ECO week! We will be weighing all of our donations next week. Stay tuned to find out how many pounds of clothes we are diverting from landfill! EcoSchools Canada @DP_EcoSchools

Did your class have fun this week doing our ECO Scavenger Hunt? Were you able to find all of the items on your list? Mme Penny’s class is doing great! Reusable water bottles, reusable lunch containers, a GOOS bin, Garbage, Recycling and Organics signs and an empty garbage bin!

Here is just a sample of our community helper dioramas made by some of our grade 1 ss. They have been working so hard to represent the helper they chose. They included the workplace, tools, cars and the community helper. All made out of recycled material! EcoSchools Canada

Such a beautiful starting liturgy for Catholic Education Week. Our YFAs did wonderful reading and the choir sounds angelic.

Our FDK students have been learning so much about plants, what they need to grow and the parts of plants! We are so excited with their excitement in learning about living things.
