🌩️This video explains the development of the tornadic storm near Porto Alegre on 31 March. The merger of two storms triggered the formation of a downburst. On the western edge of the downburst, a weak tornado then developed.

Storm-following loop of *the* supercell from last night that produced some incredible tornadoes in NE. Absolutely packed with interactions and mergers, the initial tornado looks to have begun after a newer updraft hit the inflow area of the original supercell and blew up. You

The flooding in Buenos Aires province, Argentina, occurred as a strong ridge and surface anticyclone settled east of southern Brazil and enabled continuous southward moisture transport. Precipitable water exceeded 3 standard deviations above normal along the stationary front

Very large hail in Rosario, Argentina, earlier today. Dry air near the surface, but an EML above 3 km that supports decent CAPE. Shear is not that strong, but this storm didn't seem to care

Timelapse of the life-cycle of the longest lasting tornado of the Arnett, OK LP supercell. This storm was spinning like crazy. #okwx

The heavy rain in Vera, Santa Fe province, Argentina, was caused by an impressive backbuilding along a stationary front. The 850 hPa flow at 45 kt maintained convective development to the northwest of previous convection. CAPE and shear were both favorable for severe storms
