Pie In The Sky by the marvellous Alan Parsnips Project. Highlight for me is the wonderful album closer Bald And Wise by Colin Bluntson which always makes me cry.

Peter Gabriel’s 1977 debut album. Did you know that the cover photo was taken in an Asda car wash? No? Well now you do.

Spinning this album for the 59th time today. And it’s only early evening so time for another 20 odd plays before midnight. (In case you’re wondering, it’s that good that I play it at 78 speed rather than 33 just so I can listen to it more times in any one day - clever, eh!)

Pink Floyd’s 1969 double album, Goo Goo Ga Ga, containing music recorded both live and in the studio. Critics described the studio album as “an unnecessary and irreversible offence on the eardrums”. Bastards.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer, the only supergroup that ever really mattered.

Annie Haslam looking every bit as beautiful now as she ever did. Although I must confess I never knew she could play the guitar. You learn something every day.

This evening I think I’ll play this landmark album. Did I mention I purchased it on the day of its release? No? Well I did and now you know.
