Temporal structure of experience etched on firing of human hippocampal-entorhinal neurons to serve memory & prediction. See our study nature at UCLA Neurosurgery 🧠, great work by lead author Pawel Tacikowski with Guldamla Kalender & Davide Ciliberti support NINDS. nature.com/articles/s4158…

20 years ago, Ehrsson, Spence, & Dick Passingham published a landmark study showing how the premotor and parietal cortex drive the sense of body ownership through multisensory integration in the rubber hand illusion. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

In our new Nature Communications paper, we investigate the visual system's priorities for extracting meaningful information from faces and bringing it to conscious awareness. We use a new tachistoscope that enables visual presentations as short as 0.002 ms: nature.com/articles/s4146… (🧵👇)

When complex information, such as faces, enters our eyes, the brain extracts attributes through a series of steps, with integrated information emerging alongside conscious awareness, according to a study in Nature Communications. Research @Renzo_Lanfranco nature.com/articles/s4146…

What is the relationship between conscious awareness and unconscious processing in the multisensory perception of our own bodies? In our new preprint, led by Renzo Lanfranco, we investigated this question—and the findings surprised us! Link to preprint and thread below. #Science

New preprint exploring the role of alpha oscillations in integrating self-related sensory information and distinguishing the bodily self from external events. See link and thread below. Led by Mariano D'Angelo
