Happy first day of school! We will be focusing these first couple weeks on opportunities within the department that we offer to students!

Opportunity #3: Foreign Language Club: Our exceptional foreign language students create lesson plans and deliver instruction to students!

Opportunity #4: Latin club: Each year, Ms. Cook runs a weekly Latin club for our students interested in the language and history!

Ms. Antonellis' classes made votives from clay as part of a Latin project. Excellent way to incorporate art into foreign language!

6th and 7th grade students competed for the Chinese Characters Bee. Winners from each class and the grade received recognitions for their hard work and stuffed roosters symbolizing good luck for the year of the Rooster.

Ms. Yan’s Chinese 1 students created a book about themselves! Look how creative our students are!

Students in the Foreign Language Honor Society volunteered their time to help other student prepare for final exams last June. This is available throughout the year - let your guidance counselor or Ms. Umbrianna know if you want to work with a peer tutor!

Students at the Ashfield have flags displayed from various Spanish-speaking countries, complete with facts about the country. What a great project!

Don't forget that the Staff Appreciation Night/Alumni Homecoming Football Game is tonight! Looking forward to see you all there!
