Another NCAA Division I Bylaw 22 NIL update to close out the week. Effective immediately, Bylaw 22.1.1.2 permits schools to pay actual and necessary expenses for NIL activities tied to institutional promotions without counting as compensation or cap dollars.

Effective immediately: NCAA Board of Directors adopted Proposal No. 2025-38, establishing institutional obligations & potential eligibility implications for a student-athlete who fails to report a noninstitutional NIL deal within 5 business days of the agreement.
