Beautiful Pitcher designed by Edmund Elton currently on display in #VictorianRadicals. He developed his famous metallic crackle glaze in 1902 by using gold and platinum leaf on a slip-covered body. He died #onThisDay 17 July in 1920.

Dumbarton Castle by John Ruskin. In 1838 Ruskin toured Scotland with his parents. The blue & yellow in this painting reflects the influence of David Cox on the young Ruskin. The catalogue of drawings produced by E. T. Cook & A. Wedderburn dates this work to 30 July 1838.
