Not a good day for this little Riroriro/Grey Warbler which was rescued from a cat who had caught it after it was found stuck in the deadly parapara plant (aka the Bird Catcher Tree)

This after hours arrival definitely needs some after hours care - a juvenile Blackbird that has had a rather bad day, as you can see. No broken bones though, yay, cross wings! 💕

Autumn is Petrel time of year peeps! They get confused by city lights and tend to land in the wrong places (bottom of sky city is a common spot for example!) - if you find any of these little dudes they are generally uninjured but need a helping hand - always happy to help!

... our latest patient is - and you'll never guess - ANOTHER kingfisher 🤣 This one is messy looking because it was caught in the terrible Bird Catcher Tree (aka Parapara) but thanks to it's rescuers it is on the road to recovery 😍

Just had this aviary donated and with movers to help get it onto the section too - cant get much better than that!!! Thanks to the awesome Bernadette for gifting this to Bird Rehab - it will be perfect for birds like ruru and kereru in rehabilitation xxx 💕

This weather is terrible for autumn babies, & this dove was raised from a little chick, so every night we have to check and see if it can spend the night in the aviary with the adult doves-and tonight was too windy, so my little helper brought it inside for the night 💕💕💕
